PANORAMA VIRTUAL TOUR
NEW
The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and its nearby panoramic views over the Tay estuary and St, Andrews, with many more world famous golf courses nearby: Carnoustie, Letham Grange, Gleneagles, Muirfield, etc.

Old Course 18 holes - 6566 yards - SSS72
New Course 18 holes - 6604 yards - SSS72
Jubilee Course 18 holes - 6805 yards- SSS73
Eden Course 18 holes - 6401 yards - SSS71
The Old Course is a golfing myth retaining the basic original
design of playing out and then back in, with many of the green
sharing holes played in different halves. However the Old Course
used to be played in both clockwise and anti-clockwise
directions, with the start and finish beside the clubhouse of the
Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. The New, Jubilee
and Eden courses are very fine tests, offering top league
alternatives if the Old is unavailable. The New would almost
certainly be classed a championship course if it did not lie in
the shadow of her elder sister, and the Jubilee and Eden have
been revamped to increase their stature.
Ladybank Golf Club 18
holes - 6617 yards - SSS72
This is a wooded heathland course with a reputation which is
growing every year. The green keeping staff must be complimented
on the condition of this quality golf course. Used as an Open
qualifier the narrow fairways don't take long to grasp your
respect.
The most important place in the evolution of a game that is played by millions of people across the world is St Andrews where there are six golf courses and a Golf Practice Centre . But across Fife as a whole there are 40 courses offering challenges to club member and visitor alike, from sea washed links to rolling, tree studded inland fairways.
This complete listing is split into three areas, North East Fife, the area around St Andrews, Kirkcaldy and district and Dunfermline.
As well as the courses in St Andrews, North East Fife has another twelve courses on offer. Eight are by the sea and three, Cupar, Ladybank and Falkland, are set in lush farming countryside.
Information on golf courses in North East Fife can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre, 70 Market Street, St Andrews, KY16 9NU (Tel: 01334 472021) but direct telephone contact with the courses is possible as follows:

The Dunfermline area has nine courses in all, and there are people you can meet who would not exchange a round of the beautiful, sea-washed Aberdour course for a round anywhere else.
